How do I set up a recurring campaign?

Recurring campaigns are generated automatically from a template on a schedule you define. Once configured, the CMS will create a new campaign at the specified interval without any manual action required.

Enabling recurrence
Open the campaign template and enable the Recurring toggle. You will then be able to configure the recurrence settings.

Recurrence type
You can choose between two recurrence frequencies:

Weekly- a new campaign is generated once per week on a day and time you choose.
Monthly- a new campaign is generated once per month on a day of the month and time you choose.
Day and time
For weekly recurrence, select the day of the week the campaign should be generated. For monthly, enter the day of the month (1–31). In both cases, set the time in 24-hour format- for example, 09:00 for 9am.

When does the first campaign generate?
Once you save the template with recurrence enabled, the system calculates the next generation date based on your settings. The first campaign will be generated the next time that day and time is reached. The CMS checks for due campaigns daily at 1:00am, so your campaign will be generated on the correct day during that check.

What happens after generation?
Each time a recurring campaign is generated, it is created in Mailchimp and scheduled to send automatically. The template records when it last generated a campaign and increments a count of total campaigns generated. The next generation date is then recalculated ready for the following cycle.
