How does property and experience data get into the CMS?
Properties and experiences are synced into the CMS from the Availability Search Engine. The CMS does not hold this data independently- it periodically pulls the latest information from the Engine and stores it locally so it can be used in entry fields and displayed on the frontend.
Automatic sync
A sync is triggered automatically whenever a Connection is saved. When a connection is first created, or when changes are made to an existing one, the CMS will queue a sync job to pull the latest data. Sync jobs run via the CMS queue, which processes tasks on a schedule- depending on the size of your property or experience list, it may take a short while for all data to appear after a sync is triggered.
Ongoing sync
For sites that need to stay up to date with frequent changes, syncs can be scheduled to run automatically at regular intervals. This is a configuration task handled by DestinationCore. Contact the team if you need sync frequency adjusted.
