How does the entry status system work- Enabled, Disabled, Pending, Expired?

Every entry in the CMS has a status that controls whether and when it is visible on the front end. Understanding these statuses helps you manage when content goes live, comes down, or is temporarily hidden.

Enabled
An enabled entry with no date restriction is live on the site and visible to visitors. This is the standard state for published content.

Disabled
A disabled entry is not visible on the front end. It remains in the CMS and can be edited, but visitors cannot access it. Use this status to take content offline without deleting it- for example, a seasonal event listing you want to keep for reference or reuse next year.

Pending
A pending entry has been set to Enabled but has a post date in the future. It will not appear on the site until that date and time is reached, at which point it automatically becomes live. Use this to schedule content to publish at a specific time without needing to return to the CMS manually.

Expired
An expired entry has passed its expiry date. Once the expiry date is reached, the entry is automatically taken offline. This is particularly useful for time-limited content such as events or short-term offers.

Per-site status
In a multi-site setup, each entry's status is independent per site. An entry can be Enabled on one site and Disabled on another simultaneously. When changing an entry's status, always confirm you are in the correct site context.
