I updated an entry on one site but the other site still shows old content
In a multi-site CMS, each site maintains its own independent version of an entry's content. Updating an entry on one site does not automatically update the content on any other site. This is by design- it allows each site to have tailored content suited to its own audience.
You need to update each site separately
To update the same entry on another site, open the entry and use the site selector at the top of the editor to switch to the site you want to update. Make your changes on that site and save. Repeat this for each site the entry appears on.
Copying content from one site to another
If you want the other site to show identical content to the one you have already updated, Craft CMS provides a way to propagate your changes across sites without retyping everything. When saving an entry, look for the option to apply changes to other sites. This will overwrite the content on the selected sites with the version you are currently saving, so use it with care if your sites are intended to have different content.
Check the other site is not serving a cached version
If you have already updated the content on both sites but one is still showing old content, the site may be serving a cached version of the page. Your sites use static caching at the server level, which means there can be a short delay before updates appear. In most cases this resolves itself automatically. If the old content is still showing after some time, contact your site administrator who can manually clear the cache.
Check you are viewing the correct site on the front end
It is worth confirming you are viewing the correct site URL when checking your changes. If your CMS manages multiple sites it is easy to check the wrong URL and conclude the content has not updated when in fact it has updated on the correct site.
