My campaign is missing content or showing fewer entries than expected
If a generated campaign appears to be missing entries or has fewer items than you expected, there are several things that can affect how much content is included.
Only published entries are included
The campaign generation process only pulls in entries that are fully published and enabled at the time the campaign is generated. Drafts, disabled entries, entries with future post dates, and expired entries will all be excluded. If content you expected to see was not yet live when the campaign was generated, it will not appear.
There is a limit on entries per section
Each section included in a campaign is subject to a content limit- only the most recently published entries up to that limit are included. If you have many published entries in a section, only the latest few will be selected. This keeps emails to a manageable length. If you consistently need more entries in a section, contact your site administrator to discuss whether the limit can be adjusted for your setup.
The section may not have been enabled in the template
If a whole section is missing, check that it is selected in the campaign template under the Sections setting. Also confirm that the section is enabled in your Email Automation configuration- only sections enabled at the configuration level are available as options in templates.
The campaign may need to be regenerated
If new content was published after the campaign was generated, that content will not appear in the existing campaign. You would need to delete the campaign and generate a new one from the template to include the latest entries.
