What do the different campaign statuses mean?

Every campaign in the Email Automation system has a status that reflects where it is in its lifecycle. The available actions for a campaign depend on its current status.

Draft
The campaign has been created in the CMS but has not yet been successfully synced to Mailchimp. It cannot be sent until the sync has completed. If a campaign remains in Draft unexpectedly, there may be an issue with the Mailchimp connection- contact your site administrator.

Synced
The campaign has been created in Mailchimp and is ready to send. From this state it can be previewed, tested, sent immediately, or scheduled. Recurring campaigns in a Synced state will send automatically at their scheduled time.

Sent
The campaign has been delivered to the selected audience. No further actions can be taken on a Sent campaign. For recurring campaigns, a new campaign will be generated for the next cycle- the Sent record remains as a historical reference.

Paused
The campaign was scheduled in Mailchimp but has been paused before sending. It will not send at its scheduled time. A Paused campaign can be resumed, which will reschedule it in Mailchimp, or it can be deleted if it is no longer needed.
