Why can't I see a section or field that another user can see?

Access to sections, fields, and features in the CMS is controlled by user groups. Different user groups are granted different levels of access, which means two users logged into the same CMS may see a different set of sections and fields depending on the group they belong to. This is intentional and allows access to be tailored to each person's role.

User groups and what they control

Your CMS has several user groups, each with a defined set of permissions. These typically include:

Content Managers- have the broadest level of access and can view and edit across most sections of the CMS
SEO Managers- have access focused on content relevant to search optimisation and may not see all sections available to Content Managers
Business Admins- access is limited to the Business Login portal and the sections and fields permitted by their business's package tier
If you can see something another user cannot, or vice versa, it is likely because you belong to different user groups.

Certain fields are restricted by role

Some fields are intentionally hidden from specific user groups regardless of section access. For example, Business Admin users cannot see fields such as package tier, approval settings, and administrator assignments- these are managed by the CMS team and are not intended to be edited by business users.

Within the content builder, certain block types are also restricted to specific user groups and will not appear as options for users who do not have access to them.

Business Login users: package tier restrictions

If you are a Business Admin accessing the CMS through the Business Login portal, the sections and fields available to you are also controlled by the package tier assigned to your business. Even if a section exists in the CMS, it will not appear in your portal if your package does not include it. Similarly, some fields within a section may be visible to other users but locked or hidden for Business Admins based on package permissions.

If your access seems incorrect

If you believe you should have access to a section or field that you cannot see, contact your site administrator. They can review which user group your account belongs to and update your permissions if appropriate.

If you have recently been added as a user

Permissions are applied when your account is set up. If you were added to the CMS recently and your access does not match what you expected, confirm with your site administrator that your account has been assigned to the correct user group.
